A curriculum that grows with every student

Pre-Primary

Pre-Primary

Nursery to Kindergarten - learning through play

Our Pre-Primary classrooms are built around play - equipped with toys, multimedia and materials suited to early childhood. Rather than formal lessons, young learners get their earliest exposure to education and social skills through games, singing, dancing and guided play.

  • Play-based learning with toys and multimedia
  • Games, singing and dancing built into the day
  • A warm, closely supervised early environment

Primary (Grade 1-5)

Building strong foundations

Primary years focus on literacy, numeracy and core subject foundations through child-centered teaching. Discouraging rote learning wherever possible, our teachers encourage students to generate their own understanding through project work, group work and community-based learning.

  • Child-centered teaching, not rote learning
  • Project work, group work and community learning
  • Strong foundations in literacy and numeracy
Basic Level (Grade 6-8)

Basic Level (Grade 6-8)

Broadening subject knowledge

As students move into Basic Level, subject knowledge deepens through project work, group work and hands-on science practicals in our well-equipped laboratory. Students are encouraged toward increasing independence in how they research and present what they learn.

  • Deeper subject knowledge through projects
  • Hands-on science lab practicals
  • Growing independence in research and presentation

  • Focused SEE examination preparation

Our Approach

Child-centered, technology-supported learning

Discouraging traditional rote methods wherever possible, teaching and learning activities at Marigold are designed to be child-centered. Considering child psychology, we encourage students to generate innovative knowledge, understanding and creativity through project work, group work and community work.

We believe using audio-visual aids on any topic of study is more effective than a long, monotonous lecture, so subjects are taught with the support of computer software wherever possible. Our e-library gives students access to reference materials for every subject through online services, keeping them updated with recent events and data from around the world.

A well-equipped science laboratory gives students practical, hands-on knowledge to reinforce what is learned in the classroom.

Beyond the Classroom

Learning that extends past the syllabus

Debate, Quiz & Oratory

Regular co-curricular competitions in debate, quiz, oratory, drawing and handwriting build confidence and communication skills.

Excursions & Educational Tours

Excursions and educational tours are an essential part of teaching and learning - taking students beyond the classroom for hands-on experiences.

Parents' Meetings

Regular class-wise parents' meetings exchange feedback between school and home, keeping families informed of each child's progress.

Continuous Assessment

Tracking progress throughout the year

Frequent tests help students revise their lessons and develop good study habits, while giving teachers regular feedback on classroom progress.

Unit Tests

A unit test follows every chapter, with marks carried forward into the Mid-Term and Terminal results.

Mid-Term & Terminal Exams

Two Mid-Term Examinations and three Terminal Examinations assess progress across the year.

Final Examinations

BLE, the Centralized Final Exam and the SEE Preparation Exam serve as final exams for Grades 8, 9 and 10.
